Overview

Re4Circular is a technology platform that helps stakeholders in the post-consumer textile supply chain direct each garment toward the most efficient recovery path. The service combines a B2B digital marketplace — connecting supply and demand for second-hand garments — with an AI-powered technology that analyzes garment images to automatically extract key data, enabling smarter sorting and circular reuse.

The Challenge

The project presented several operational and strategic challenges that were slowing down the company’s growth. The classification of garments was entirely manual — a time-consuming and labor-intensive process that significantly reduced overall efficiency. The volume of items processed also became an issue, as manual workflows made it difficult to manage large quantities effectively. Another major challenge was the data processing time: since data collection and analysis were handled manually, decision-making was slow and often based on incomplete insights. From a business perspective, the lack of a centralized sales system made it difficult to manage marketplace operations, limiting both product visibility and the overall user experience.

The Solution

The project streamlined operations by introducing automated garment classification and centralized data management, improving efficiency and decision-making. A unified B2B marketplace was developed to simplify sales and enhance user experience, while the new digital ecosystem made the business more scalable and appealing to investors. As Product Designer, I led research, UX flows, and interface design. I mapped user journeys, created interactive prototypes, and built a modular design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and a smooth user experience across platforms.

The Result

The new system had a significant impact on both internal operations and the overall user experience. The automated classification feature drastically reduced processing times, improving operational efficiency and allowing the team to handle a much larger volume of garments. The centralized data management enabled continuous performance monitoring and faster, data-driven decision-making. The final outcome is a solid, intuitive, and data-driven platform — one that not only optimizes current operations but also sets the foundation for sustainable future growth.
